How long will it take to process my order?

Once an order has been placed, it is our goal to ship it within 24-36 hours. If for any reason there is a delay in doing so, we will notify you immediately. Your order should arrive within 3-5 business days depending on your location and method of shipping chosen. Is my credit card and personal information secure while using the Irish Butterfly's site?

Yes. We utilize Secure Sockets Layering (SSL) to encrypt all personal information, including your credit card number. SSL was created by Netscape, and has become the industry standard for securing on-line transactions. This means that none of the personal information that you have used while ordering from IrishButterfly.com can be either read or recorded. When information is sent that has been secured during an on-line order, you will notice a closed lock icon at the bottom of your internet browser's window. IrishButterfly.com does not sell, rent, or loan any identifying personal information of our customers to a third party. Which forms of payment are considered acceptable?

IrishButterfly.com will accept Visa, Discover, American Express, MasterCard, and Paypal. U.S. checks are also accepted on send-in orders. <top>

What is IrishButterfly.com's Return/Exchange policy?

We do not accept returns, but we will cheerfully accept exchanges on most items. Items must be exchanged within 30 days of purchase.  Simply mail the item back to us, along with a letter explaining whether what the problem was and what size, brand, or item you want to exchange for. Shipping charges will not apply to the exchange, and additional shipping charges will apply when the new item is shipped. Exchanged items must be unmarked, in the same condition in which they were received, and in their original packaging (if any).

Shoes (hard shoes, soft shoes, jazz shoes, ballet slippers, tap shoes, etc) must be unscuffed, unmarked, and in the same condition in which they were received to be exchanged as new shoes, so do not wear them for a class if you think you might need to exchange them. Shoes with any wear or marks on them will be treated as used shoes for purposes of exchanges. Please contact us for information on our used shoe program.

Our standard shipping method is USPS 2-3 Business Day Priority on all items. Expedited shipping is available on most items at an additional charge. Additional shipping charges may be added to overweight or oversized packages and cannot be expedited. Additional shipping charges will also be added to orders shipped outside the USA. IrishButterfly.com's shipping system is determined by the weight of the merchandise as well as where it is going ("from manufacturers zip code to yours"). Thank you for shopping with us!

New solo costume consignment policy:

We are writing to let you know about a change to our fees for handling used solo costumes. Effective January 30, here are the fees we are now charging:

  • $30 (per costume) ANNUALLY for displaying a costume in the store, on our website, and on our Facebook page; this fee includes one free feis transport
  • $10 (per costume, per feis weekend) for taking a costume to any of the local indoor competitions the rest of the year
  • $30 handling fee for any costume which is to be shipped to a buyer from the shop
  • 2.5% credit processing fee calculated from the total sale price of the costume (including any shipping, handling, and insurance charges) for any costume a buyer purchases using a credit or debit card through the Irish Butterfly

We apologize that it has become necessary for us to increase our listing fee to $30 annually and to add the handling charges for costumes to be shipped. There are now over 100 costumes in our store, and it takes several hours to pack them up every time we have to transport them, as well as over 2 hours to completely process a costume to be shipped.  We no longer charge tax on credit card costume purchases but do need to pass on the 2.5% card processing fee.  Unfortunately the original $20 display fee has not covered the costs involved.

If you would like us to take your costume(s) with us to Feile Denver and Centennial State Feis May 5th and 6th, you can pay your $10 transportation fee online at www.irishbutterfly.com. Click on the http://www.irishbutterfly.com/shop/solo-dresses/solo-costume-handling-fees/solo-dress-feis-fee.html. You can also call 720-747-9353 or come in to the store anytime before February 7th and pay in person.

If you would prefer not to pay the transportation fee, you can pick your costume up anytime before May 3rd and take it to the venue. If it does not sell, you can return it to the store after the feis.
